Crossing the Atlantic

We are on the third day of crossing the Atlantic.  We had fairly rough seas for the first two days but it has improved and instead of  15 to 20 foot waves they are only 8 to 10 feet today, much easier to walk around.

Something unique about the Explorer is that when a sea day occurs on Sunday they have a huge brunch.  It was beautiful with the center of the Compass Rose restaurant set up with different tables and stations.  They had everything from sushi to prime rib, as well as crepes and omelet stations.  Needless to say we will be skipping lunch today.

We have been spending a lot of time reading and watching movies.  It's great that they have recent movies and we can watch them whenever we want and save them if we don't want to watch them all at once.

The only thing that has been tough is that we are crossing multiple time zones so have been losing an hour each of the last three nights.  Even Tom has been sleeping in!

The "Café" is a popular place where you can get light snacks and coffee drinks

Sorrento, Italy April 25, 2017

For our last cruise port we visited Sorrento, Italy.  Sorrento overlooks the bay of Naples and you can usually see Mt Vesuvius quite clearly...
