After spending one night at the Trump National Doral we boarded the new Seven Seasons Explorer at the Miami Cruise Terminal. The ship is very impressive with beautiful decor. Luxury all the way, just as advertised.
We were able to get in our room about 2:30 pm but unfortunately our luggage did not show up until about four. We upgraded a couple of levels from the suite category we normally book on the other Regent ships and we are definitely glad we did, our suite is fantastic. It has a huge walk in closet and a big bathroom with two sinks and separate tub and shower. There is lots of storage in the suite with drawers in the closet, under the bar/TV area, in the desk/vanity and in the bathroom. We have never cruised before with empty storage!
After two days at sea we docked in Bermuda for an overnight stay. Since we had taken a land tour on our previous visit to Bermuda we opted for a tour by boat that showed us some of the famous homes and different areas. We were surprised to find that the America's Cup races will be held here and the boats were out practicing near our ship. The boats are all catamarans and they really move!
Overnight the wind really came up and it got much colder so we passed on our scheduled glass bottom boat ride and just stayed around the ship.
We sailed from Bermuda at 3 pm and as soon as we cleared the islands we encountered heavy seas, about a 5 to 8 meter swell with some wind. Getting around the ship is interesting, walking down the hallways everyone looks choreographed as we all stagger in unison!
